Magic Mobility is Australia’s premier power wheelchair designer, developer and manufacturer. To coincide with the launch of a new signature wheelchair model, Magic Mobility engaged Digital Thing to redesign and develop a new website. The website needed to make content accessible for those with a disability, allow staff to easily update content and give users features to interact with to encourage a purchase. Digital Thing rolled out the custom-designed WordPress website with an interactive tool allowing users to customise a wheelchair that immediately increased leads and time on site.
Solution
The Magic Mobility website was designed and developed by Digital Thing with WCAG 2.0 Accessibility standards (Level AA) compliance using a custom-built WordPress theme. The site was developed to drive engagement with Magic Mobility’s target audiences (users, occupational therapists, carers and agents) and generate leads, integrating product information, catalogues and manuals from Magic Mobility’s full range of wheelchairs.
Digital Thing built an interactive wheelchair customiser tool enabling wheelchair users to determine the appropriate chair for their lifestlye and have fun customising it with colour, tyre and other options. The site was also developed to be easily manageable for staff to update and upload new manuals and other information.
Outcome
TThe new Magic Mobility website drove an immediate increase in leads for trials across the entire product range and deepened engagement with visitors to the site, extending time on site, reducing bounce rates and significantly increasing traffic. Customers and staff embraced the new design and its emphasis on product customisation and interactivity.
The website performed extremely well in search rankings and Digital Thing provided a tailored hosting solution that improved site load speeds globally. Magic Mobility staff have found the site easy to manage and are continuing to work with Digital Thing on new digital campaigns and improving their digital presence.
